I am an experienced and award-winning marketing leader with a proven track record in strategic marketing planning, content strategy, and demand generation – and a self-professed marketing geek obsessed with the ever-changing B2B marketing landscape and how to leverage new technologies, digital and traditional forms of marketing for maximum results.
I have over 15 years of experience working for some of the top technology companies in Silicon Valley from Fortune 500 companies, post-IPO high-growth organizations, to post-series A startups, including Aurora Solar, Snowflake, Accenture, Deloitte, NetApp, Cisco, VMware and a few others. I am an ardent believer in the power of authentic leadership and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful marketing solutions.
I live in the San Francisco Bay area with my husband, our beagle and a quirky orange tabby cat, who hums instead of meows.
A note about the naming of this blog: While at Cisco, I was the first employee to have a dedicated blog on cisco.com. That blog was the first iteration of “The Truth About Marketing”. The name was suggested by one of Cisco’s system engineering leaders. And from that point on I have been known as “Ruth the Truth”. You can call me RTT for short.
